March highlights one of Rotary’s core areas of focus: Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). 

Around the world, 2 billion people lack access to safely managed drinking water, and even more live without adequate sanitation facilities. Clean water and proper sanitation are foundational to health, education, economic stability, and human dignity. 

Through Rotary’s global network of 1.2 million members, clubs like Westlake-Bay Village Rotary support sustainable water projects that provide safe drinking water, build sanitation systems, promote hygiene education, and empower communities to maintain these solutions for generations.
