The Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities, also known as Cuyahoga DD, was established in 1967. Its goal is to help Cuyahoga County residents with developmental disabilities of all ages. Cuyahoga DD is part of Ohio’s developmental disabilities system, which the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) oversees. DODD certifies both independent providers and agencies that offer a range of services to people with developmental disabilities. Cuyahoga DD supports and empowers people with developmental disabilities to live, learn, work, and play in the community. It proudly serves 15,000 county residents from birth through adulthood. Cuyahoga DD is primarily supported by a property-tax levy last approved by voters in 2005.

Rust Belt Fiber Shed is a collaborative network of regenerative fiber farmers, processors, and designers from the Rust Belt Region that explores the possibilities of working with the resources in our fibershed, particularly wool, alpaca, flax, and plant dyes. We teach stewardship of our land and resources, foster friendship and creativity, and facilitate conversations and strategies that address the challenges of a localized fiber supply chain.

Mary Delia Allen is an event planner turned professional speaker. Her presentation is called The Welcoming Edge: Connection in the Age of “Leave Me Alone.” It’s about why the simple act of welcoming people well has become a real business, leadership, and community advantage and how we can all get better at it.

Her background is in major-event logistics, including 16 Super Bowls, MLB, NCAA Final Fours, the Olympics and work with brands including Bank of America Merrill Lynch and T-Mobile. Today Mary Delia speaks to companies, associations, tourism and hospitality groups around the country. She also speaks to Rotary clubs when her travel allows as a way to give back and connect with local communities. Mary Delia grew up on Cleveland's west side, attended St. Christopher, worked as a Rocky River lifeguard, and attended Lake Ridge Academy and Miami University.
