Mary Delia Allen is an event planner turned professional speaker. Her presentation is called The Welcoming Edge: Connection in the Age of “Leave Me Alone.” It’s about why the simple act of welcoming people well has become a real business, leadership, and community advantage and how we can all get better at it.
Her background is in major-event logistics, including 16 Super Bowls, MLB, NCAA Final Fours, the Olympics and work with brands including Bank of America Merrill Lynch and T-Mobile. Today Mary Delia speaks to companies, associations, tourism and hospitality groups around the country. She also speaks to Rotary clubs when her travel allows as a way to give back and connect with local communities. Mary Delia grew up on Cleveland's west side, attended St. Christopher, worked as a Rocky River lifeguard, and attended Lake Ridge Academy and Miami University.
