Our speaker today was Roger Dorsey from Good Knights of Lorain County. You may recall that Good Knights was out Cluster Project last year. Good Knights is a non-profit that provides beds for children under the age of 18 in Lorain County. They believe that every child should have their own bed to sleep in every night. It costs about $300 per bed, and volunteers from all over help build the beds. Last year they provided 387 beds. This year to date, they have already provide 353 beds with a goal of providing over 800 beds this year. To learn more, go to www.goodknightsoflc.org.

Joe reported on the Art Festival. Yard signs have been planted, articles have appeared in the Observer, there is a literature drop, facebook posts and many other notices to advertise the event. There will be a tote bag stuffing event to be held July 29th. Terri will provide more details in the future. There will be a committee meeting July 14th at Joe’s home, and Star 102 is promoting the festival.
We had two prospective members attend their first meeting. Mary Beth Waling and Rob Grealis were both in attendance.
