Committee Reports
Andrew Reported Art Festival committee meeting in February will be announce and will be an open meeting, March 16th , 6 PM at the Lodge. Sponsor and artist informational packs have been emailed to all members. No other updates at this time.
Andrew updated the Village Project Event. While they have not submitted a formal request for donations, there was a discussion about sponsorship vs. donations. To be further reviewed. Their annual fundraiser is March 25th, to sponsor a table of 10 is $1000. Some Rotarians have responded to Andrew with interest. Next meeting update on attending/sponsorship/donation.
Marybeth Whelan volunteered to head up the Donation Committee. Will begin right away and connect with the current committee members.
Amy Kubacki updated Membership committee: Brochure is complete and shared. Discussed placement on library and the YMCA community information boards.
Amy in early planning stages of a Membership Outing at Clayton Playhouse; use as a drive to bring potential members.
Reminder, Diaper Drop is end of March – bring in any size diapers to the meeting at to Patti’s location.
Exchange Student: Bob Maver shared the PTA did not respond. Discussed article in Observer of Onyx’s adventures and interest for host families. Andrew volunteered to write the article. Additional discussion of other ways to engage community: Again – using community boards at Library, Rec Center, YMCA.
Old Business
Advertising vs. Donation – Future discussion is needed to determine if this should be a line time in the budget. To review next board meeting – suggested a formal proposal be developed (Michael ODonnell/Jim Strunk)
Ray Glinka: Took care of the $500 donation to the Ames House ($25 gift cards). Thank you, Ray!
New Business
Discussion of a gift basket per $150/cluster group. Terri to get more information on this ask.
