Board Meeting 

 

OPENING & CLUB BUSINESS

 

The meeting opened with Rotary protocol, including the invocation, Pledge of Allegiance, and the Four-Way Test. 

 Donation committee 

  • Approved $126.50 for blanket kits. Terri has ordered the kits and will find a time to meet and complete. 

 Speakers

  • booked through April
  • committee is developing guidelines on what kind of speakers since we are booked well in advance, and we can be more selective
  • Committee: Justin, Lisa, Joe H. 

 PR 

  • Lisa has postcards for artists and save the date
  • Will bring fliers for Art Festival to the North Coast Rotary wine fundraiser and will send to all members

 Finance update

  • Investments down about $7k in last week but year to date still up around $8k

 Grants update

  • discussion on Farrell Foundation garden project - we decided to close it and return $2100
  • Terri suggested a possible grant project of tree planting with the district project to plant 250 trees
  • Katie suggested baskets for assisted living or similar

 District happenings

  • District Conference - Aprils 24/25
  • Banner Exchange late June/early July - Terri is planning and looking to pick date when club members can attend
  • August 19 Guardians for Polio game
  • Raising Cane’s fundraiser Monday, 3/30 from Noon -10pm

 April 23 - Thursday Chilli Cook off to benefit Autism Society, Joe H. has 2 tickets he is offering for free - were given to Alyssa Damm, or meeting guest who is looking to become involved.

 April has 5 Wednesdays and is a diaper dash for Providence House

 April 6 is next Art Festival meeting

 May 13 is the over 90 event in Westlake - no meeting

 March 28, Saturday is youth challenge van cleaning 9am - 1pm

 Memorial Day placing flags at Lakeview cemetery

  • Lisa mentioned organizing a group or individuals
  • dates are  May 21, 22, 23 - Lisa and sister going on Friday May 22, 11-1pm
  • Thursday is the corporate volunteer day - there will be a lot of corporate volunteers that day
