About Our Club
The four wheels on our banner illustrate the way in which the Rotary Club's activities of the neighboring cities of Westlake and Bay Village, each depicted on a Rotary wheel, mesh precisely with our District and Rotary International, represented on the other two wheels.
The four gear wheels are also symbolic of the far-reaching influence of Rotary international, portraying the four points of the compass to the four corner of the earth. They also represent the four Rotary avenues of Club service: Club Service, Vocational Service, Community Service and International Service, and also reflect the Rotary Four-way Test of the things we think, say and do. The manner in which the ideals of service and fellowship, as performed at the Club level and transferred through the three levels of Rotary organization, are graphically and colorfully illustrated.
