9:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Lorain County Community College

We are all familiar with Jeff Appel's (our President Elect) involvement with the Alzheimer's Association and the Club's dedication to this cause in Northeast Ohio. Jeff, with the club's support, has asked Joe Kraft to lead our involvement in the walk. The information below provides details about the walk and how you can get involved.

Please help us by walking on October 4th, making a donation, or doing both. Walk day will be here before we know it!

Please respond by clicking the link below to register your participation. (Note: The link is live. When you hover over it to click on it it will go from blue to black text. Click and it will take you to our page!)

Join our Rotary team or help us reach the fundraising goal.

Thank you in advance for any support you can provide.

ZuZu Chocolates was established in 2019. They launched a dessert truck in 2020 and in 2022 opened their first shop in Westlake, Ohio.

Just a few short years later, they outgrew thier shop and, in 2024, moved across the plaza to open a larger kitchen and store.

ZuZu Chocolates is named after the owners Mom, Zahia "ZuZu," who fought a 15-year battle with Alzheimer's. They donate to the Alzheimer's Association and have helped raise over $70,000!

In 2023 they founded the Zahia Nasrallah Foundation which is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our mission is to keep raising funds that will help put an end to Alzheimer's disease.

2025-10-24 09:00:00Z Oct. 24, 2025 Greater Cleveland Food Bank Morning of Service Oct. 24, 2025
9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
GCFB Community Resource Center

The Greater Cleveland Food Bank is recruiting volunteers to assist at our Community Resource Center`s Healthy Choice Food Market!

The GCFB Community Resource Center`s Healthy Choice Food Market is a neighbor choice food market which allows neighbors to select their own food instead of receiving a pre-packed or standard bag of groceries. With this method, neighbors do not have to take items they already have, do not like, or cannot eat for health or personal reasons.

Having the opportunity to choose their own food gives the people being served a sense of dignity and control, limits waste, and allows them to tailor the help they receive to be the best possible fit for their own unique situation. We encourage nudges or environmental cues to help neighbors select the healthiest food options available.

Each day, volunteers help us serve hundreds of our neighbors at the market. Because of this, volunteers interested at helping at the market should be comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds.

Volunteer Duties Include:

Assisting neighbors with shopping and item selection in the market.
Assisting neighbors with loading their vehicles with food, as needed.
Accepting retail product donations, weighing product, and recording the donation.
Organizing and consolidating product onto pallets and into bins to make product look presentable for neighbors.
Consolidating spoiled or damaged items for removal from the market.
Removing excess cardboard, bins, and boxes.
Sweeping and mopping as needed.
Assisting neighbors as needed.
Volunteers must be 14 or older in order to participate.

Volunteers are required to wear closed-toe/heel footwear for all of our projects (NO CROCS, SANDALS, FLIP-FLOPS, ETC).

Additional Information:

Volunteer Arrival Instructions

Please note that it is important that all volunteers arrive on time in order to allow us to serve our neighbors as efficiently as possible. Please let us know if you know that you or your group will not be able to arrive on time.

Please note the address above, as we operate out of two different locations.
Parking: You can plan to park anywhere in the front lot!
Volunteer Dress Code and PPE Requirements

Volunteers are required to wear closed-toe/closed-heel footwear (no crocs, sandals, flip-flops, etc.) We recommend wearing comfortable footwear since volunteers can plan to be on their feet for much of the shift.
Volunteers will not be permitted to use headphones, earbuds, AirPods, etc. while working in the pantry.

USDA Civil Rights Training

Please review the attached USDA Civil Rights Training prior to the volunteer shift. All GCFB volunteers working with the public are required to review the training prior to arrival.
The training document can be accessed via the "posted documents" link on the main menu of your CERVIS Volunteer Profile.
Please let our team know if you are unable to participate, and we can remove you from the shift on our end to make the space available for others to sign up! If you are displaying any signs of illness, please plan to refrain from volunteering until you are feeling better.

Let us know if you have any questions at all!

The Collaborative to End Human Trafficking
Carolyn Arny - Director of Education & Training The Collaborative to End Human Trafficking Jan. 21, 2026 7:30 a.m.

The Collaborative to End Human Trafficking began in 2007 and was built on the understanding that a multifaceted human rights and public health issue like human trafficking cannot be solved by one organization or system alone. We recognized that only when we bring people together to unlock our collective potential can we create solutions that break the cycle of human trafficking.
