The Rotary Club of Westlake Bay Village held its weekly Wednesday meeting on May 10, 2023. The meeting was a hybrid with 18
members meeting via zoom and in person. P
Terri welcomed prospective member Lynne Aron, who has now attended her second meeting.
Plans are underway for the installation of new officers. Please plan on attending on June 26th. At this time we are planning on meeting at Leo’s Social in Crocker Park (formerly Brio’s). We will be sending an email to gauge attendance. The club will pay for dinner. Spouses are welcome but will be paid for by the member. Drinks are also the responsibility of the member.
We now have four students committed to RYLA. We are still waiting for the Westside Christian Academy to submit their students.
The deadline for contributions to the Rotary International Foundation is June 30th. Terri would like to see every member participate at some level. Jim will provide more information at a future meeting.
May is a month with 5 Wednesdays. We will again be donating diapers to Providence House. Rather than going to Grumpy’s after the diaper drop, Andrew will provide a hot breakfast prior to our meeting at the library. Seeing as how we just donated in March, we are not expecting a record number of diapers, but please do what you can.
Thanks to Tim Smith for donating signs to designate our meeting place for guests and speakers.
Our speaker today was Greg Prybylski from Paramount Chiropractic Family Wellness. Greg gave an interesting presentation explaining the difference between crisis care and true health care, and shared ways that chiropractic care can lead to a more productive life and better overall health.
