We are still in need of a host family for an inbound exchange student. If you know anyone who can host a student, please let Terri know. It is getting critical as we are obligated to house one.
Our speaker today was Julie Brandle, our District Governor Elect. Julie is also the owner of Metis Construction, an all-female owned construction company in the Akron area
Julie recently returned from the International Assembly for District Governor Elects held in Orlando, Florida. Over 500 participants from all over the world attended and shared many great ideas.
Next year’s Rotary theme is Creating Hope in the World. Julie spoke about many of the challenges in both the world and our local communities, including feminine hygiene products for disadvantaged women and girls, mental health concerns, and maternal health and infant mortality.
We look forward to Julie’s year as District Governor and her many appearances at our club meetings and functions.
