Last week's meeting was a club assembly, with a lot of good discussion on club activities. We also had two guests, Scott Latiolais from Tri-C West Shore, who attended his second meeting and Mary Beth Whelan, who was just approved as the newest member of our club.
Terri announced that our exchange student, Onyx Wacker, attended her first day of school in Ecuador and is getting settled in her new environment. We look forward to future updates and wish her the best in her studies abroad.
Gary reported that we are approaching 100 golfers for our October golf outing.
Pat shared that
Terri reported that the Board approved a donation to Westlake Meals on Wheels and also approved the membership application of Mary Beth Whelan as our newest member. Both of the votes were conducted via email and will be reflected in our September Board minutes.
There was time for our happy thoughts, and the meeting adjourned at 8:00.
Exchange Student News
This past week Onyx got to meet her Rotary Club of Riobamba and fellow exchange students. She also, helped with a school garage sale to help raise money for students that want to study internationally.
