The Rotary Club of Westlake Bay Village held its weekly Wednesday meeting on April 26, 2023. The meeting was a hybrid with 22 members meeting via zoom and in person.
The meeting started out with Eric Jolly, our Assistant Governor, inducting our newest member, Tiffany Cipollone. Welcome to our club, Tiffany. We are excited to have you join our ranks.
We are still in need of a host family for an inbound exchange student. If you know anyone who can host a student, please let Terri know. It is getting critical as we are obligated to house one.
Plans are underway for the installation of new officers. The tentative date is June 26th. Please save the date, more details forthcoming.
So far we have two students from Bay committed for RYLA. We are waiting for Westlake and the Westside Christian Academy to submit their students.
There will be a Best Buddies walk at Crocker Park on May 7th at 11:15. This is another of our supported organizations and all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Our speaker today was rock and roll photographer Pat Johnson. Pat currently lives in San Francisco and has been fortunate to photograph many of the top performers over the last 40+ years. Pat was born in Parma and attended Midpark High school. He gave a very entertaining PowerPoint presentation highlighting some of his more famous shots.
After the meeting, he had several copies of his recently published books for sale, and most of us left with at least one copy.

District Conference Award
As part of the district conference, the club display boards in the House of Friendship were judged. Our club board won third place. A big thank you and congratulations to Andrew Mangel and Steve Pettyjohn for putting together our display board for the conference.
