For those unable to attend today’s meeting, we had a lot of good information disbursed. There was a total of 17 people on the Zoom.
President Goggin started the meeting with a prayer by our Chaplain, the Pledge and the Rotary Four-Way Test.  He then introduced our guest speaker, Alex Gertsburg.
Terri reminded us that the District Four-Way Speech contest is this Saturday. We will have three students participating.
She also reminded the Club that any requests for District grants must be submitted by May.

Andrew gave an update on the state of the Shoebox program. Unfortunately, Steve Thorpe, affectionately referred to as “Iowa Steve”, passed away recently from pancreatic cancer. Steve was in his 80’s and has been a dedicated Rotarian and head of the Shoebox program for many, many years. While this is terrible news, his wife Liz has promised to keep the program going and will head up this worthwhile project in his absence.

Joe K. reported that we are now up to 35 artists for the Art Festival. The next Chairman’s meeting will be April 29th at the Elks Club.
Our speaker, Alex Gertsburg, gave an inspiring talk on how to Clone ourselves and build a successful business. Alex, an attorney for 20 years, just merged his law firm and as of last week, is one of the managing partners of Gertsburg and Licata, located in Independence. He also owns three other companies, Cover My Six, Gertsburg Acquisition Partners, and Gertsburg Executive Search.
He shared several good ideas with us today. He told us he categorizes all his daily activities by competency, money and joy. If he is not very good at one, it doesn’t make him money, or he doesn’t enjoy doing it, he either delegates it, automates it, or eliminates it. He also monitors his activities to make sure they fit into his 5 main areas of importance: purpose, money, time, relationships, and health. He shared several other great ideas and was very informative and entertaining.

Our meeting was adjourned at 8:24
