Discussion was made for Rotary funds for donation to the California Fires.
Club News
- The Edna House St. Patrick’s Day party is March 15th .
- An Art Fest meeting is scheduled in the library on March 5th at 6 PM.
- Rotary District Conference Meetings are April 25 – 26 at the Cleveland Mariott East
- Donation has been made to the Lake Erie Science Center for the Wildlife Display.
- Luke Smiley, our Rotary Student abroad, is coming home early.
SPEAKER: Tabatha Devine – Best Buddies program of Westlake High School
- 7 Students and 2 Moderators came to the meeting and presented such a wonderful program explaining what they do.
- The Buddie matches are between students and students with disabilities. They have fundraisers (for Children with Autism and other groups) by selling bracelets and t-shirts.
- They just hosted the N.E. Ohio Leadership Conference with other High Schools. They have bowling events and football and basketball games that they participate in with their Buddies.
- Our own leader, Joe Kraft, sponsored a Putt-Putt event for Best Buddies. They had a Friendship Walk, where they raised over $2,000.
- They have a Battle of the Bands event that is on Friday, Feb. 28, at 7 PM. They will be participating in and selling T-shirts. One of the Buddies has her own company that makes the T-shirts for sale.
