The Rotary Club of Westlake-Bay Village held its weekly Wednesday meeting on December 10, 2025. The meeting was a hybrid meeting with 19 participants meeting via zoom and in person at Westlake Porter Public Library. President Amy Kubacki called the meeting to order at 7:30 a.m., began with a prayer and meditation, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and the Rotary Four-Way Test. Amy welcomed two guests who returned after last week’s membership breakfast. Brian Moran and Gary Lydrickson have now both attended their second meeting, and we hope welcome them as new members soon.

Santa’s elves got busy and wrapped all the gifts for the adopt-a-family program. It was great to see everyone involved and having fun.

After the gifts were all wrapped, we had some business to attend to. Joe H. moved, and Patty seconded, that we approve and adopt the new Club By-laws which was distributed a couple of weeks ago. After a few clarifying questions during the discussion period, the vote was called and the motion passed unanimously.

Andrew then presented Paul Harris pins to Katie and Steve, and a Paul Harris +1 pin to Patty.

Amy went over the results of the recent Member Satisfaction Survey. 17 of our 33 active members completed the survey, and the results were very favorable. Overall takeaways: The club is strong, healthy, and valued. Members love the people, the mission, and the impact. Light improvements can further elevate the engagement. Three areas surfaced as potential focus areas for the club: service projects, RI and District awareness and learning, and membership. We will be working on these items throughout the next year.

Rachel has agreed to head up our service projects for the coming year, and has several ideas for us to do at least one project each quarter.

We had time for our happy thoughts and the meeting adjourned at 8:32.
