Our speaker today was Stacey Streeter from the Alzheimer's Society. Stacey is also a Strongsville Rotarian. Stacey gave a very informative talk on Alzheimer's and dementia. We learned that blacks are twice as likely to be affected as whites, Hispanics are one and a half times likely, and women comprise two-thirds of those affected. There is a 24 hour hotline for any questions, 800-272-3900. To learn more, visit their website at alz.org.
We had time for our happy thoughts, and the meeting adjourned at 8:29.
