Rotary District Events and Initiatives
- âCreate the Perfect Rotary Clubâ Event: Members were reminded of an event in Twinsburg on the 21st, starting at 9:15 AM for coffee, with the program from 10:00 AM to noon. It is a networking and best-
practice sharing opportunity. - District Conference: Scheduled for April 24th and 25th.
- âPack-A-Way Hungerâ Initiative: A service project for the district conference aiming to pack 20,000 meals for the food insecure. The fundraising goal is $8,000. Clubs are asked to contribute $50 and challenge members to match. Donations are accepted via a pledge link, QR code, or check.

- A Cavs game with exchange students was also mentioned.

teachers, and enhance campuses.

A project to bottle and sell water from a natural aquifer is underway to create revenue.
Operations and Accountability: The organization is donor-funded, with founders taking no salary. They work with on-the-ground partners like Zenduka and Sports Aid Africa for implementation and accountability. The team visits Kenya once a year.

AI has identified the following issues that were not concluded in the meeting or lack clear action items; please pay attention:
1. A co-chair for the ArtFest festival is still needed. This is identified as a key position to ensure the eventâs continuity.
2. While new members were encouraged to provide speaker suggestions, there was no specific action item assigned to follow up or collect these suggestions systematically.
3. The discussion about sharing the clubâs speaker contacts with the district concluded with a plan to compile a list but did not include a final decision or a next step for actually sharing it.
4. The suggestion to model a new âshoebox projectâ for the Kenya organization did not result in a specific action item or a designated person to lead the exploration.
5. The potential for a Rotary Global Grant was mentioned, but no concrete steps were defined to assess its feasibility or identify who would have the âbandwidth to pursue that.â
