For those unable to attend today’s meeting, we had a lot of good information disbursed. There was a total of 18 people on the Zoom.

President Goggin started the meeting with a prayer by our Chaplain, the Pledge and the Rotary Four-Way Test.

Our speaker today was George Dadas. George is a personal coach and gave a very informative talk. He helps business owners become more successful, and mixes scripture with sound business practices to attain this success.

Some highlights:
His master plan consists of 5 things to accomplish.
  1. Clarity. What do you want to accomplish? Set goals for faith, family, finances and service, and set them with the end goal in mind.
  2. Focus. You must have a road map to succeed.
  3. New Habits. Develop a strong character. Show up on time, do what you say you will do, and finish what you start.
  4. Growth. George uses the “gap” acronym here, growth, accomplishments, and progress.
  5. Balance. You must create balance between your business life and your personal life. He suggests everyone take at least 150 days off each year.

Jeff Appel has prepared a spreadsheet for volunteers at the Art Festival. If you go to the club newsletter, under club business, you will see a link to access the spreadsheet. Click on “click here” and you will open the spreadsheet. It is a Google Document, so it will populate in real time and everyone will see the changes.

Ben Worsowicz, a prospective new member, has attended his second meeting.

We had a young woman approach us regarding a global scholarship to help her pay for studies abroad. Terri looked into the program with RI and found that we would need to contribute $10,000 of club money to get the $20,000 grant from Rotary. It was the unanimous decision of those in attendance that this does not fit with our club’s goals.

Our golf outing is scheduled for October 8th. Save the date, more details will be forthcoming.

The meeting adjourned at 8:27.
