The William Corley Foundation held its monthly Board meeting April 28, 2021, via Zoom conference call. The meeting was called to order by President Scott Goggin at 8:13 AM
In virtual attendance:
President Scott Goggin, Pat Graham, Andrew Mangels, Terri Speck, Joe Hudak, Ray Glinka, Doug Lawton, Michael O’Donnell, Bob Maver, Jeff Appel, Mark Grimm, and Jim Strunk. Also, in attendance were Herb Hoppe, Joe Kraft, Patty Zinn, Kevin Krantz, Tim Smith, and Adam Sonnhalter. A quorum was present.
Secretary’s Report: Jim moved and Doug second to approve the minutes of the March meeting. Motion carries.
Treasurer’s Report: There was no Treasurer’s report presented for March.
Donations Committee: There was an anonymous $1000 donation made to Corley by one of our members which was earmarked for Circle of Friends, a Westlake organization that helps special needs children. Circle of Friends has merged with Best Buddies, a national group, and the donation will now be made to Best Buddies.
New Business: Herb presented new ideas he thought of as he is working on updating the Corley By-laws. These pertain to when the Corley Board will meet, the status of our investments, the need for indemnification insurance for the Directors and other items. He will formalize his thoughts and present at a future meeting.
There being no more business for the Board, President Goggin adjourned the meeting at 8:30
